Riley’s Construction was founded as a natural evolution of our family’s passion for building excellence. Our story begins in 2003, when Harrogate Construction was established by Kieran and Julie Rabitte after three decades of experience with blue-chip construction companies. Starting with just a TLB and roller, Harrogate focused on small roads and earthworks projects — building a business grounded in family values, hands-on involvement, and long-lasting client relationships.

Over the years, Harrogate grew into a medium-sized, multi-disciplinary firm employing more than 150 permanent staff members and successfully completing hundreds of civil, industrial, and residential projects throughout Gauteng. The launch of Harrogate Civil Construction and Harrogate Equestrian in 2015 marked a diversification into new sectors, while maintaining the same commitment to quality and client service.

Riley’s Construction carries this proud legacy forward — with a fresh focus on residential, commercial, and industrial building contracts. We bring the same family-driven culture, technical expertise, and relationship-first approach that have been the cornerstone of Harrogate’s success, while expanding our capabilities to meet the needs of modern building projects.
